SAW Instruments has launched its new sam®X Biosensor Access Program. Designed to provide access to the sam®X with no capital spend, the program offers a six month lease of the sam®X and includes four free packs of CM short dextran chips for cell work, as well as four free days of application training worth $10,000. With an option to buy after six months, when 100% of the rental money paid isSAW11Apr-Biosensor-Access-P.gif redeemable against the purchase price, the Biosensor Access Program provides the perfect opportunity to see how the sam®X would revolutionize the measurement of biomolecular interactions in your laboratory. Get in contact before the 18th May 2012 to be eligible to take advantage of this exciting offer.

As the new high-end member of the sam® family of acoustic biosensors, the sam®X is designed to provide enhanced workflow flexibility and high-throughput capability when analyzing molecular interactions on cellular surfaces. Using SAW’s proven proprietary Surface Acoustic Wave technology, the new system detects mass binding and protein conformational changes on whole cells. Providing unmatched assay speed, SAW’s range of sam® acoustic biosensors improve upon many similar detection platforms by offering real-time analysis using viable cells, while eliminating the need for molecular labeling.

Utilizing two sensor chips, rather than the single chip in existing sam®5 models, the new sam®X incorporates eight analysis channels. Thanks to an advanced fluidic system, each channel can be used independently or via combinations of 4 x 2, 2 x 4 or 1 x 8 channels, offering a highly flexible workflow. In addition, different ligands can now be automatically immobilized on-line at each chip position via the fluidics. This eliminates the need for time-consuming, off-line protein loading, while providing more accurate and reliable results.

The new sam®X Biosensor Access Program is a limited time offer. To apply for this exciting promotion, please contact Ian Taylor (taylor@saw-instruments.com) before 18th May 2012 - act quickly as there are only a limited number of systems available!
