There are countless therapies found in early clinical studies that are promoted as the next therapeutic breakthrough. While many pre-clinical therapies create promises of future success, too often the process of translating the research to later phase studies falls short of its intended goals. Moving from theory to therapy requires deep understanding of the translational processes in addition to strong collaborative relationships with the right organizations. Whether it is utilizing biomarkers, adapting animal modeling, patient selection or designing the right program models for a specific drug, researchers must have the tools and relationships to succeed. GTC’s 4th Translational Medicine Conference will bring together representatives from the pharma, government and leading academic research institutions.
