Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. announces that it will host a free-of-charge user meeting to present the latest advances and applications in Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS).

Aimed at scientists looking to expand their analysis capabilities in either routine or research laboratories, the informative user meeting will take place on Wednesday 2nd Sept. and Thursday 3rd Sept. in the picturesque city of Bath.

Hosted by representatives from Thermo Fisher, the event will last for two days; the first day will concentrate on ICP-OES and the second day on ICP-MS, including high-resolution applications. Visitors are welcome to attend either or both days. For those joining both days, a dinner is scheduled for Tuesday night.

The free-of-charge scientific program will feature talks from instrument users covering a wide range of applications and techniques. Event highlights include an opportunity to see ICP-OES and ICP-MS systems in operation, and representatives from Thermo Fisher’s service organization will also be available to offer advice and discuss any technical queries.

ICP-OES and ICP-MS are the accepted and most powerful techniques for the analysis and quantification of trace elements in both solid and liquid samples. Thermo Fisher Scientific is the only instrument manufacturer to offer ICP-OES and ICP-MS (Quadrupole and Sector) spectrometers to match any requirement, from routine applications to highly demanding research.

All instruments are designed with technology for a wide range of applications including: environmental, materials, geological, food safety, clinical, semi-conductor, metallurgy and petrochemicals.
