International Conference on Agricultural and Food Engineering

The International Conference on Agricultural and Food Engineering in Malaysia will be hosted by the Department of Process and Food Engineering and the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia. This conference will be held in conjunction with the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) in November 2012.

The main objective of CAFEi2012 is to provide a forum to discuss and promote the importance of “Bringing Engineering to Life” through safe-and-secured food production systems under clean-and-sustainable environment. It will identify new research directions and challenges that are relevant to the Agricultural and Food industry and explore the potential of using scientific knowledge, practical ideas, and emerging technologies for humankind.

This conference will also highlight development in research and innovations in agricultural and food engineering. The theme of CAFEi2012 will be, ‘Bringing Engineering to Life’. It will explore how Agricultural and Food engineering can contribute to sustainable agriculture for the country to achieve self sufficiency in food production. It will enhance in shape the agro-based industry with new engineering technology.
