PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, and the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) have announced registration is open for Pharma EXPO 2014 (McCormick Place-West Building, Chicago; Nov. 2-5).

The new event is co-located with PACK EXPO International and produced in partnership by PACK EXPO owner and producer PMMI and ISPE.

“The support from the pharmaceutical industry has been excellent,” notes Charles D. Yuska, president & CEO, PMMI. “We still have eight months before Pharma EXPO and PACK EXPO International open, and we’ve already exceeded projections for space sales and exhibiting companies.”

A robust conference program will complement the exhibits at Pharma EXPO, notes Nancy Berg, president & CEO, ISPE.

Berg says, “ISPE prepares members to lead global change and innovation in pharmaceutical manufacturing sciences and technologies. Educational sessions will cover critical topics such as anti-counterfeiting, international regulatory issues, automation trends, cold chain, nutraceuticals, contract packaging, overall equipment effectiveness and global supply chain serialization.”

Innovation Stage presentations will provide additional educational opportunities on the show floor at Pharma EXPO, including ISPE’s Facility of the Year Award (FOYA).

Visitors will find the FOYA Showcase set up at the entrance to the West Hall exhibits of Pharma EXPO. 2014 marks the award’s 10th anniversary.

“This is going to be a great event. Pharma EXPO will offer the attendees what they want most - exposure to the latest technologies, the opportunity to attend a full range of education sessions, as well as networking with industry professionals. As our attendees cross between Pharma EXPO and PACK EXPO, they’ll carry a wealth of new ideas with them,” says Berg.
