SciX is built on the international legacy of the 38 years of FACSS meetings and the steady support of its member organizations.There are ten member organizations that represent a broad range of analytical sciences. SciX is the National Meeting for the Society for Applied Spectroscopy (SAS).

The meeting is held in different locations across the North American continent, includes more than one hundred symposia, numerous workshops, a full exhibit and a rich social calendar. Typical attendance is 1000 from all over the world, with invited, contributed and plenary presentations.
