We set out with the promise to produce an air-cooled, extremely durable X-ray tube with a highly brilliant and stable X-ray beam.

Nine years on we are proud to present our 500th IμS customer. This is the most important acknowledgment that we not only have achieved our original aim, but we have surpassed all our expectations.

PD Dr. Birger Dittrich, lecturer at the Georg-August-University of Göttingen and the University of Hamburg, will continue his research in developing new methods for accurate charge density studies on solids using our specially made golden IμS500. We wish him success in his research and hope he will obtain many valuable findings with the help of his new X-ray source.

Our customers use the IμS for innumerable applications in non-destructive materialsresearch. Apart from the main field of application, in X-ray Diffraction on proteins andsmall molecules, there are other fields of research such as materials under high pressure, semiconductors and nanostructures, welded seams, polymers and thin films, even in-situ during the manufacturing process. In general, one can say, wherever X-ray diffraction with high intensity, high resolution and sub-millimeter structures is required as a method of investigation, our IμS is the perfect device to use.

In the meantime, IμS users can be found in more than 47 countries all over the world.

All our customers have contributed to this story of success with their trust, their positive feedback and their constructive criticism. We are delighted about this successful development and would like to say thank you to all our customers. Our future efforts go into improving the IμS and continuing to respond to our customers’ wishes.

We will be celebrating the event of our IμS500 with our customer PD Dr. Birger Dittrich at the Institute for Inorganic Chemistry of the University of Göttingen in a one-day workshop on 9th July 2015. Many of our loyal customers will be attending, some of whom will be giving a lecture on their field of research.
