Analytik Jena AG has received a large order through its Leipzig-based subsidiary AJ Roboscreen GmbH requiring the delivery of systems for the preparation of samples and the detection of various viruses to eleven clinical laboratories in Pakistan.

AJ Roboscreen GmbH secured the invitation to tender through a regional sales partner and prevailed against numerous renowned competitors in the comprehensive and public bidding process.

The order will come into effect during the third quarter of Analytik Jena AG's current financial year and amounts to nearly half a million euros.

Delivery will take place before the end of the current financial year and is initially planned to supply systems for one year.

"We are pleased to have won this order. It validates our strategy of focusing our sales activities on the sale of reagents," said Alexander Berka, Manager of the Life Science business unit at Analytik Jena AG.

Berka continued, "The test kit, which contains reagents for sample preparation in addition to those used for virus detection, is based on our own technologies and patents and is CE-IVD approved."
