"We’ve made it much easier for our customers to find what they’re looking for, quickly and easily”, said Dr Gavin Davies, Marketing Manager at Markes.

The new website features a range of new content, written by Markes’ specialists, explaining key issues and approaches to using the latest thermal desorption (TD) and mass spectrometry (MS) technologies across multiple gas chromatography (GC) application areas - everything from environmental and petrochem to metabolomics and food analysis. Enhanced by links to useful resources, including scientific papers, application notes, posters, videos and FAQs, Dr Davies expects that these pages will be a valuable resource for GC–MS analysts.

“Even in these days of the internet, it remains remarkably difficult to find reliable, authoritative, up-to-date information on many aspects of GC–MS work. By drawing on the expertise of our technical specialists, we’ve been able to answer many important questions relating to thermal desorption and GC-MS applications, making our website a first port-of-call for analysts with a question to ask or a problem to solve.”

The website also contains detailed information on Markes’ range of TD instrumentation, and an online shop for quick and convenient ordering of a wide range of associated sampling accessories and consumables. Also included is a range of products for time-of-flight mass spectrometry originally promoted under the ALMSCO brand – in particular Markes’ exceptional BenchTOF mass spectrometer and the newly-released Select-eV variable energy ion source technology.
