OHAUS Launches Navigator™ XT Models

New Navigator NVT...N models ideal for applications requiring a certified balance that delivers fast and accurate results.

OHAUS Corporation has announced the launch of NTEP Certified and Measurement Canada Approved Navigator™ XT portable balances.

The Navigator NVT...N models meet or exceed Class III requirements in accordance with NIST handbook 44 and Canada’s Weights and Measurements Regulations.

Certificate of Conformance Number 11-014 was issued under the National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP) of the National Conference on Weights and Measures.

Notice of Approval AM-5806 was issued by Measurement Canada, an Agency of Industry Canada.

The Navigator XT series offers a unique combination of best-in-class features including sensors for “touchless” operation, ultra-fast response time and superior overload protection that make the balances suitable for a wide variety of weighing needs in various markets including the industrial, food and laboratory industries.

The new NTEP Certified and Measurement Canada Approved Navigator NVT…N models address the needs of customers who require a reliable certified balance that provides fast, repeatable results.

The OHAUS Navigator XT series is designed with two touchless sensors that free up operators’ hands, and prevent a loss of focus when delicate or critical samples are being weighed.

The touch-free control of tare, zero, print, and function operations as well as the display backlight help to minimize keypad touches, thereby avoiding cross-contamination or unwanted residue on the balance.

Simultaneously, the ingeniously practical sensors prolong the life of the instrument by minimizing the need to press the keypad with a hand, tool or foreign object.

Unmatched Durability and Productivity
The Navigator XT series is built with a superior mechanical overload protection system that allows the balance to withstand loads of up to 400 percent its rated capacity. This prevents damage to the balance, while helping it resist undue shock or overloading, to maintain weighing accuracy.

The weighing cell is also protected from damage during transportation and storage by an integrated transportation lock.

The high-strength 304 type stainless steel pan and impact-resistant ABS plastic housing add to its durability and reliability.

Designed to accurately stabilize in less than one second, the Navigator XT series increases operator efficiency and productivity.

An internal rechargeable lead acid battery also contributes to its unmatched productivity, enabling up to 100 hours of normal use on a full charge.

With maximized portability, the balance can be transported and used where power outlets are not readily available.

Additional features include a polished stainless steel pan, skid-resistant leveling feet to provide superior stability, a menu lock switch to prevent unwanted changes to protect balance settings and optional RS232, USB or Ethernet interface kits.
