Scie-Plas™ Green Range™ horizontal gel electrophoresis units offer the ultimate standards in innovative design and manufacture, acquired during our 20-year existence. The Scie-Plas Green Range horizontal gel electrophoresis units currently comprise models with gel tray sizes ranging from 6 x 7.5 to 25 x 30cm. All models incorporate many design and safety features recommended by scientists, either from within our in-house product development team or laboratories worldwide. As a result, all our models are manufactured and finished to the highest specification, easy to use, and, with safety always paramount, CE-marked - conforming to European safety regulations.

The CHU25 Maxi-Plus cooled horizontal gel unit is designed specifically for rapid high throughput screening of nucleic acids, particularly PCR products and in genotyping studies. In addition to having the same 25 x 30cm gel-casting tray, 624-sample throughput, buffer recirculation ports and gel-casting features of its HU25 counterpart, the CHU25 has a labyrinthine cooling base situated directly within the tank. Once the gel is made, the gel-casting tray is simply lowered onto the cooling base, which may be connected either to the laboratory water supply or the optional JULABO chiller, optimised for enhanced cooling, allowing the user to perform high voltage electrophoretic separations faster and further without compromising resolution.
