XEI Scientific Inc, maker of the popular EVACTRON® De-Contaminator™ Plasma Cleaning System for electron microscopes and other vacuum chambers, has appointed remX GmbH, as distribution partners for their decontamination products in Germany.

XEI Scientific has appointed new distributors for Germany. remX GmbH is a company specializing in hardware and software solutions for Scanning Electron Microscopes for industry and universities.

Their specialty is in microscopy-based techniques such as electron microscopy and detectors such as EDX and SDD. They will also cover other European countries, particularly those speaking German. These include Austria, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Switzerland (German speaking regions only) and the Netherlands.

The company is run by Marco Mostert, a specialist in instrumentation technology. He is very positive about this new partnership. “XEI is the technology leader with their Evactron De-Contaminator systems. The products are a natural fit to our current portfolio and we are confident we will be able to help XEI to grow in this market.” To contact remX in Bruchsal, Germany, customers are invited to visit their web site and learn more about the products offered: www.samx.eu.

Speaking about this new agreement, XEI Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Daniel R Kleinen says “Marco and his remX team provide us with an extremely experienced and well-qualified partner for the growing German market. The Evactron De-Contaminator uses a remote RF plasma source to produce gas-phase radicals that flow downstream through the chamber, eliminating contamination by chemical etch. XEI has now sold more than 1850 Evactron systems worldwide solving contamination problems in many different environments using instrumentation such as electron microscopes, FIBs and other vacuum sample chambers.
