Accelerated Technology Laboratories, Inc. (ATL) will host the fifth in their 2014 series of webcasts on Wednesday, June 18, 2014, to share information on leveraging LIMS as a Software as a Service (SaaS) model. A hosted LIMS is a great choice for small to medium size organizations that do not have the capital needed for their own servers or the software purchase, or lack an internal IT department to manage a local solution. A hosted solution can allow these organizations to deploy and implement a robust LIMS often more quickly and with less upfront cost as compared to the traditional purchased model. A cloud based LIMS can give organizations that traditionally could not afford a LIMS, the ability to have a high functioning LIMS to optimize their resources and grow their business.

With SaaS solutions, all clients need is a web browser and internet access. Whereas traditional solutions can take weeks or even months to deploy, SaaS solutions do not require software installation, so clients are able to access new software almost immediately following configuration for their organization.

SaaS solutions allow clients to log in from anywhere with Internet and a compatible browser, facilitating access for those telecommuting, or individuals that work across multiple sites.
