HORIZON® LIMS

Product Description

Since 1991, ChemWare's HORIZON® LIMS has been used for mission-critical clinical, environmental, forensic toxicology, public health, manufacturing, and chemical and biological agent testing laboratories. HORIZON is installed in five of the top 25 environmental labs in North America, including the fifth largest lab in the U.S. and the largest lab in Canada. Over one in five SAMHSA-certified toxicology labs and the largest generator of electricity in the U.S have all automated their labs using HORIZON.

ChemWare states that HORIZON is the only commercial off-the-shelf LIMS to offer an embedded scientific data management system that provides a single, unified instrument interfacing and electronic data management solution for the paperless lab. Their solution provides for storage and retrieval of raw data files and human-readable files, along with printed and scanned output of all types. Analysts can quickly search through years of analytical instrument reports and other laboratory documents, all indexed and catalogued online in HORIZON. At the push of a button, HORIZON can produce electronic data deliverables (EDDs), regulatory reports and litigation packages (containing fully integrated instrument data and chain of custodies), and assemble them into a final paginated and collated report. HORIZON also supports HL7 and EDI interfacing (commonly used in clinical applications), and provides a fully integrated Web-based reporting platform. HORIZON meets all 21 CFR Part 11 (electronic record keeping and electronic signatures), NELAC, CLIA, SAMHSA and related regulatory requirements.
