Core Informatics builds custom LIMS software for the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Their fully customized and integrated LIMS solution is designed to maximize the efficiencies of any biotechnology, pharmaceutical or academic research organization. Their expertise includes: gene expression, tissue sample repository, cell culture, proteomics, lab automation integration, medicinal chemistry, combinatorial chemistry, high throughput screening (HTS), DMPK, ADME, analytical chemistry, animal facility management, in vivo study management, inventory management, document management in preparation for IND filing.

Core Informatics deliver a customized LIMS called Core LIMS that can be scaled to fit any size laboratory, from managing the data for a single laboratory to multi-site implementations. The company's approach is to offer customers the ability to buy and build only what fits their research needs and then will help maintain it.

One of the first Software-as-a-Service (Saas) web-hosted solutions, the Core LIMS solution is part of a single platform for LIMS, Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN) and a Scientific Data Management System (SDMS), that includes Core LIMS, Core ELN and Core SDMS. -- all of which are available in the SaaS architecture.
