Accelrys Announces 2012 US Tech Summit for IT Professionals

Accelrys, Inc. (NASDAQ: ACCL), a leading provider of scientific innovation lifecycle management software, has announced its fourth US Tech Summit for Accelrys customers with IT responsibilities. This free-to-attend event, taking place October 16-17 at the Hyatt Morristown in New Jersey, will provide the opportunity for enterprise architects, software administrators and software developers to better understand how to manage, support and integrate the Accelrys Enterprise Platform and other Accelrys products into existing IT environments, improving the efficiency of both information technology professionals and the end users they support.
"This year's US Tech Summit will address IT-related topics such as performance, upgrades, administration, integration and preparation for the next versions of many of our products to support improved scientific innovation lifecycle management for organizations of all sizes across the industries we serve," said Anil Thakur, senior vice president of product development at Accelrys. "We will take a deep technical dive into Accelrys solutions and address IT best practices focused on the Accelrys Enterprise Platform, Accelrys Isentris, Accelrys ELN (previously Symyx Notebook by Accelrys) and Accelrys Lab Execution System (previously VelQuest SmartLabs)."
In addition to presentations on the Accelrys product portfolio, technology previews and partner sessions, the Tech Summit agenda will offer three dedicated tracks with interactive sessions addressing:

Including upcoming architecture changes, security enhancements, chemistry data model enhancements, server pool management and deployment considerations

Including the latest Accelrys ELN release, Accelrys ELN administration and configuration management, what's new in Isentris, as well as Isentris integration with the Accelrys Enterprise Platform
• Developers
Including Accelrys Draw as a toolkit for developers, Accelrys Query Service technology and tools, Pipeline Pilot advanced protocol topics and extending Pipeline Pilot with third-party tools
