Clarity LIMS User Base Growing

GenoLogics Life Sciences Software, a leading provider of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) specifically designed for omics labs, has announced that Personalis has implemented Clarity LIMS to support both their Genome Services for Research and Genome Services for Clinicians offerings.

The system is in use at the Personalis research laboratory and will be employed in the clinical services lab in the coming months. Implementation of the entire system including workflows and training for supporting both laboratories was completed in approximately eight weeks, enabling the team at Personalis to meet their services launch date.

"The ability of Clarity LIMS to be deployed quickly with out-of-the-box capabilities for next-generation sequencing assays allowed us to keep our lab opening on schedule. Clarity LIMS also provides us the ability to quickly modify the system for our future requirements without the need for additional professional services." said Christian Haudenschild, Laboratory Director at Personalis.

Not only is Clarity LIMS able to be implemented quickly, but the system is also an ideal choice for laboratories seeking support for regulatory requirements as the product contains several features that can help automate processes and ensure quality. "We found the product to be very thorough from a regulated view," says Christian. "I very much appreciate the ability to track everything from sample names, reagent lot numbers, and even users. This LIMS makes traceability very easy. The capability to create our own data fields and customize what users will see on their respective interfaces is also extremely useful for us."

"Allowing customers to realize value from their LIMS investment in a short period of time was one of the key drivers behind our development of Clarity LIMS," said Michael Ball, CEO of GenoLogics.

"We're pleased to see this trend of customers deriving high value from Clarity LIMS quickly."
