Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the debut of a new seminar on Analytical Solutions for Nutraceutical Analysis.

The nutraceutical market which consists of dietary supplements, botanicals, functional foods and beverages is a fast growing market; according to Transparency Market Research, in 2011, the market value was just over 140 billion USD.

The free, day-long seminar will take place Oct 8, 2012, in Los Angeles, CA; Oct 10, 2012, in Vancouver, Canada; and, Oct 12, 2012, in Toronto, Canada.

The sessions will discuss our chromatography and elemental analysis techniques to optimize nutraceutical processes, focusing on dietary supplements, vitamins, functional foods and botanical extracts.

Techniques and methods will include accelerated solvent extraction (ASE), capillary ion chromatography (IC), inductively coupled plasma optical emission (ICP-OES) and ICP mass spectrometry, high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC), Ultra HPLC (UHPLC), liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (LC/MS), chromatography data systems software (CDS) and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
