DuPont Titanium Technologies has announced a new distribution agreement with Omya, Inc. Omya, through its subsidiary companies Durr Marketing Associates, Azalea Color Company and Lipscomb Chemical Company, will become a national distributor and represent DuPont Titanium Technologies’ products in all 50 U.S. states as well as Western Canada.

Omya is a worldwide distributor of specialty chemical products focused on Industrial and Life Science applications and a leading global producer of industrial minerals, mainly fillers and pigments derived from calcium carbonate and dolomite. Omya’s distribution network extends from coast to coast across the United States.

DuPont Titanium Technologies is the world's largest manufacturer of titanium dioxide, serving customers globally in the coatings, paper, plastics and laminates industries.

The company operates plants at DeLisle, Miss.; New Johnsonville, Tenn.; Edge Moor, Del.; Altamira, Mexico; and Kuan Yin, Taiwan; all of which use the chloride manufacturing process. The company also operates a mine in Starke, Fla.

“We see an outstanding fit between Omya’s approach to the markets we serve together and expect that this partnership will improve our market position and better serve our customers in North America,” said Miren Salsamendi, North America director, DuPont Titanium Technologies.
