Greenphire announces that the company's CFO, John Samar, has been named as a finalist in the Philadelphia Business Journal's CFO of the Year Award program.

This award marks the latest in a hat-trick of industry recognitions for Greenphire, with CEO Sam Whitaker recently being announced as a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, and Shawn Milochik, Vice President of Software Engineering, awarded the Philadelphia Business Journal's Top IT Innovator Award.

John Samar, CFO and co-founder of Greenphire, comments, "I am proud to have been selected as a finalist and to have been acknowledged alongside some of our region's most distinguished and talented CFOs. As Greenphire continues its ambitious international growth strategy, this recognizes the accomplishments of our entire team, beginning as a two-person start-up and growing to become one of the leading providers of clinical payment technologies."

John co-founded Greenphire in 2008 and under his financial management and leadership the company has experienced phenomenal year-on-year growth and currently works with multiple top 30 pharmaceutical companies.  In the last 12 months alone, Greenphire has more than doubled its team and launched its first international office in London.

All award finalists will be recognized and winners announced at a ceremony on July 11.
