Software improves completeness, accuracy, efficiency and mobility for users and managers of standardized procedures and step-wise processes.

Quality-driven companies gain a powerful new tool to manage procedures in many industries with today's release of Protocol Labacus 2.2 by Abacalab Inc The Protocol Labacus app is useful in a broad range of fields, including manufacturing, testing and regulation. Protocol Labacus improves completeness, accuracy and efficiency for workers performing SOPs and step-wise processes. Because the software uses a flexible web-based design, it can be easily configured for in-house or cloud-based operation, supports mobile use and can handle a great variety of different procedures.

People in many industries have recognized the benefits of Protocol Labacus: Food and beverage, agriculture, environmental, water treatment, forensics, nuclear, and pharmaceutical, to name just some. Its mobility is particularly beneficial for job roles that require work in large spaces, outdoors or in multiple locations (e.g. manufacturing plant floors, farms, and hospitals). The accuracy and detail of the records it provides, including time/date stamping and operator II), are especially valuable for applications with stringent requirements for quality assurance and reporting.

Version 2.2 includes two major enhancements and an important new feature. Greatly enhanced reporting enables on-the-fly reorganization as well as incorporation of custom elements such as company and product logos. Offline capabilities have also been improved, allowing more processes to be accomplished while disconnected from the network. Last but not least, the new search feature will help workers easily refer to already-completed procedures and data.

By using Protocol Labacus, the people responsible for doing procedures get simpler record-keeping, point-of-work coaching and reference materials, and easier multi-tasking. Managers benefit from increased compliance and accuracy, more detailed records, and automated reporting. Protocol Labacus provides workers with an interactive protocol, including instructions and checklist, that works on a tablet or laptop to improve work quality anywhere. Reminders ensure that every step of a process is complete. Integration with the tablet camera and on-the-spot recording of measurements and observations enhance accuracy and detail. Documentation is also more efficient and consistent because data are electronically transferred and automatically converted into reports, batch records and certificates of analysis. The software is process-oriented and therefore easy to learn and compatible with existing work practices.

Protocol Labacus is provided as a fully-packaged web app compatible with all major computing platforms, modern tablets and web browsers. Abacalab offers a free process assessment to evaluate the benefits of Protocol Labacus for companies interested in adopting it. Technical support for installation and training is also provided free of charge.
