11th International Conference on Biology and Synchrotron Radiation (BSR)

08 Sep 2013 - 11 Sep 2013 - EMBL Hamburg, Germany

Bookmark and Share

The BSR meetings are held every three years with the aim of presenting and discussing state of the art applications in relevant research fields. They have a long-standing record since the first meeting in Frascati, Italy in 1986. Subsequent meetings were held at sites at or near the most advanced light source facilities around the world, with the last BSR meeting taking place in Melbourne, Australia, in 2010.

The principal objective will be to provide a forum bringing together the scientists involved in the methodical developments on synchrotron and laser sources with a broad community of biologists having an ambition to make the best use of the most advanced infrastructures in structural biology.

Topics

Biological small angle X-ray scattering

Macromolecular X-ray crystallography

Biological X-ray imaging and spectroscopy

Biological sample preparation

Free electron laser applications

Synchrotron instrumentation

Structural biology hybrid methods

Industrial applications

Ultimate storage rings

Who should attend

The BSR conference is unique in scope by being the only event specifically bringing together a broad life science-oriented research community and a more technically synchrotron/laser scientists’ community worldwide.
