Break the Glass Habit

Product Image
Product Description

The range of Thermo Scientific Nalgene plastic labware products are designed to make your laboratory a safer place to work. This durable and flexible, high quality plastic labware can withstand the rigor of laboratory conditions where traditional glass labware often can’t. Because plastic labware won’t shatter, this reduces the risk of valuable solutions being lost or hazardous material being released, lowering the potential for injury to personnel in busy laboratory environments. Additionally, large labware items including high volume bottles and cylinders are much lighter in weight than glass equivalents, which lessens the risk of breakage or physical stress.

As well as improving safety in your lab, the durable, lightweight and easy-to-handle nature of Nalgene® labware delivers a cost-effective alternative to glass. Not only is plastic generally less expensive to purchase and deliver, but because it won’t break if bumped or dropped, the items don’t need to be replaced as regularly as with glass.

Unlike labware that is made from borosilicate glass, most Nalgene labware is made from low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene and polypropylene.  This means it is fully recyclable, reducing waste and providing a greener option for laboratories, which are becoming increasingly environmentally aware.

Our Break the Glass Habit brochure can be viewed as an online, interactive pdf with the choice to download directly to your desktop. It is conveniently divided into eight product areas to allow you to easily select which solutions best meet your needs:

•    Beakers
•    Cylinders
•    Bottles
•    Funnels
•    Centrifuge Tubes
•    Unitary Wash Bottles
•    Desiccators
•    Flasks

Clearly, not all labware is created equal. If you’re looking for a smarter, safer product to use in your laboratory environment, switch to plastic and use high-quality Nalgene labware products for dependable, safe performance.
