Optimizing the Labeling of Proteins

Molecular Devices

Labeling refers to either biotinylation or fluoresceination of proteins. Like any other chemical reaction, labeling is subject to conditions such as pH, concentration of reactants, incubation time and temperature, purity of reagents, and presence of interfering substances.

This application note describes parameters which influence labeling of the binding proteins to be used in the Threshold ILA assay.
