Automated DNA/RNA extraction - Thermo Scientific Orbitor WorkStation
Thermo Scientific

Discover a streamlined nucleic acid extraction workflow, with the unique Thermo Scientific DNA Extraction WorkStation. The accompanying video demonstrates the ability of this system to provide maximum ease of use for accurate and efficient nucleic acid extraction processes. Multiple modules are integrated to form a complete turnkey automated system optimised for rapid and cost-effective DNA extraction. This modularity allows for ultimate flexibility, answering the needs of a variety of laboratory set-ups. Adapting to a wide variety of DNA extraction workflows, the system is scalable and can be expanded as required to incorporate, for example, additional KingFisher modules for increased sample throughput. Non-contact dispensing with the Thermo Scientific Multidrop Combi dispenser with valve option allows for dispensing of up to eight reagents, while diminishing the risk of sample cross-contamination. Supporting this system, the sophisticated Thermo Scientific Momentum software assists the user in managing complex processes, for reliable operation without the need for user monitoring.
