Infrared-Spectroscopy in Practice: Understand & Read IR-Spectra
21 Jan 2013 - 21 Jan 2013 - Brannenburg, Germany
Infrared-spectroscopy is one of the most efficient methods of lubricant analyses. The knowledge around evaluation and interpretation is for practitioners – down to the present day – a well-protected secret of lubricant specialists, though the basics of IR-spectroscopy and the determination of important parameters have been known and standardized for many years.
This seminar gives an insight into the basics and the practice of FT-IR spectroscopy of fresh and used oils. Examples from real life gained during more than 15 years of lubricant analyses and hundreds of thousands FT-IR spectra round out the workshop and contribute to the demystification of FT-IR spectroscopy.
