The Gecko Microplate & Petri Barcode Labeller is designed to deal with the day to day needs of either a high throughput or medium to low throughput lab. With a small footprint allowing limited bench space to be used, the Gecko is a versatile and robust instrument. With a Z-axis movement meaning that no adaptors are required and all label sizes able to be used the Gecko is a versatile, robust and reliable instrument. The Gecko uses either a 300dpi or 600dpi Zebra or Cab printer which is supplied as standard with the system and prints up to six fields (bar codes and human readable) per label. The label can be applied to one or all sides of the microplate and can withstand temperatures of -800C to 1000C. KBiosystems Gecko applies the label then verifies it using a mounted barcode reader before releasing the plate to give the end user full confidence. The data sources are numerous and can be comma-or tab delimited files and spread sheets, 3rd party application driven, pre-printed (sample feed and supply) and with an ODBC compliant LIMS.
