24 Sep 2013 - 25 Sep 2013 - Norwich, UK

Bookmark and Share

With the ongoing heated debate on GM crops, Select Bio has invited a range of thought leaders to share their perspective on the unique aspects of technology required to enhance the aesthetics, yield, nutrition and disease resistance of varying crops. As well as this, the conference will cover aspects of disease resistance in livestock and how genetic engineering can increase yield of livestock. The next generation of epigenetics, microarrays and sequencing techniques will be discussed with reference to fascinating current research.

Agenda Topics

  •     Disease resistance in livestock
  •     Enhancing plant resistance to disease
  •     Genetic engineering to increase yield from livestock
  •     Optimisation of growth for food and biofuel
  •     RNA silencing mechanisms in plants
  •     The use of microarrays and bioinformatics

Poster Submission Deadline: 28 August 2013
