Oxford Global Conferences are proud to present the latest event in our Next Generation Sequencing series – the Food, Nutrition and Agriculture Genomics Congress, to be held on the 7th & 8th April 2014 in London, UK. Our unique conference will bring together renowned researchers to explore the application of NGS in areas such as: personalised nutrition and health, identifying diet-genome interactions, increasing crop quality and improving livestock breeding programmes. 

On Day One, discussions will focus on the use of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies in DNA and RNA sequencing. Our experts will compare different NGS platforms and discuss suitable NGS data analysis methods. Topics for discussion will include NGS and metagenomics in nutrition and health. Presentations will also include NGS to improve crop quality and production of nutrient-rich food; application of NGS in the farming industry.

Day Two will feature case studies from our genomics experts outlining the recent advances in plant genome sequencing to improve crop quality and production of nutrient-rich food. Areas of discussion will include nutrigenomics and nutritional epigenomics, microbial genomics, diet-genome interactions and microbiota gut research. Our experts will explore the possibility of personalised nutrition. Presentations on day two will also focus on the latest advances in animal genomics. Our renowned researchers will discuss the importance of immune gene sequencing, agrigenomics in Europe and sequencing in the animal farming industry.
