From Maintenance to Reliability ‒ Holistic and Sophisticated Approaches & Solutions

Dates: 14th & 15th November 2013, Berlin / Germany

The 2nd Pharma M2R Minds 2013 conference is already in a few months! With more than 100 leading opinion makers and industry experts it has become one of the leading conferences for strategic approaches to the handling and management of pharmaceutical plants for engineering and maintenance decision makers. Here are some hints of exciting speakers and interesting subjects we have prepared for you.

TOP Stories 2013:

Short summaries of our keynote speakers’ presentations for the Pharma M2R Minds 2013 conference:

-         Dr. Ernst Keck, Head of Asset Strategy and Business Processes – DOZ at Roche Diagnostics GmbH in Germany will comment on how to implement a sustainable Asset Life-Cycle-Management (LCM). Likewise he is going to show how to break the silo thinking. In addition he will account for showing the alignment of investments and maintenance. Finally Keck is exploring how maintenance processes can be optimized by creating transparency.

-        Christian Bugl, Director Technical Operations Management at Baxter BioScience in Austria will illustrate the value of products and highlights the importance of optimizing the equipment life-cycle costs since overall equipment effectiveness specifies just a direction. Mr. Bugl stresses the need of building a relationship to internal customers as well as to suppliers and for internal service level agreements for the delivered Medias. Moreover he is going to illustrate the meaning of the equation value = cost + quality. In addition he advocates adjusted asset management strategies. Then Mr. Bugl explains the philosophy of reliability engineering. At last he explains how life cycle costing can be used as a basis for investment decisions.

-       Sergio Steffenoni, Head of Global Engineering at Sandoz GmbH in Germany will report on preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance and illuminate the challenges for planning and implementation of a robust and sustainable PM framework. Likewise Mr. Steffenoni argues that effective preventive maintenance requires implementation and follow-through of preventive maintenance schedules. In addition he will identify specific effective practices that are currently taking place in consortium facilities relative to cost containment and preventive maintenance. His presentation ends with a brainstorming session in order to identify new and/or needed practices that could be implemented in facilities to improve preventive maintenance practices, as well as improve cost savings or cost containment.

Further speakers from world leading companies such as Novartis, Boehringer Ingelheim, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sanofi Pasteur, Bayer and ABB will discuss their challenges, approaches with delegates from all overthe globe.
