In a show exclusive, Lab M will also discuss Captivate™ O45, the further extension of its Captivate™ range of Immunomagnetic Separation products for the isolation of Shiga Toxin-Producing Escherichia coli (STEC) strains associated with foodborne infection. Captivate™ O45 is in the final stages of testing ahead of launch early in 2014.

Sartorius’ new lab balances - Quintix, Secura and Practum – are making their UK show debut. Secura® guarantees high reliability and security in regulated areas by warning users when a balance is not level or requires calibration. Quintix® offers internal calibration and seamless data transfer to Excel while Practum® is an entry level product. Sartorius is also launching the Microsart® @filter/@media system.

Trafalgar Scientific is unveiling its new CFX96 Touch Deep Well™ Real-Time PCR Detection System which offers precise quantification and target discrimination for up to 5 targets in large-volume reactions.

Visitors to Ash Scientific’s stand will be able to see its new GA2100 ESI-HPIMS spectrometer. This self contained high performance ion mobility spectrometer offers rapid high resolution, separation and detection plus versatile analysis of solids, liquids and gases. The company is also launching the Miniature Luminar 5030 Hand Held AOTF-NIR instrument which is ideal for raw material, moisture and active ingredient identification, coating weight analysis and blend assay.

Lab Innovations will also be the first UK show for Spectro Analytical UK’s SPECTROBLUE TI. The inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer optimizes linearity and dynamic range, while enabling high-sensitivity measurement of toxic elements, which makes it especially suitable for environmental analyses.  The company’s portable SPECTROSCOUT energy-dispersive XRF analyser is also making its UK debut.

Brookfield is unveiling for the first time at a show its new DV2T Viscometers and DV3T Rheometer which deploy touch screen technology.  ETI is launching 8000+ pH Meter. This a three-in-one instrument that features a large easy to read, LCD display that indicates pH over the range of 0 to 14 pH with a resolution of 0.01 pH, mV over the range of -999 to 999 mV and temperature over the range of -39.9 to 149.9 °C with a resolution of 0.1 °C.

Camlab will be using the show to debut the Memmert GmbH next generation of appliances with improvements to heating performance, heating up speed, air exchange rate and device specific parameters such as humidity and pressure which can be adjusted by the end user.

Cleaver Scientific is launching its runView, runDoc, runSafe products. Designed to make DNA electrophoresis procedures safer, more convenient and more economical, the ‘Safe’ Series eliminates the need for Ethidium Bromide and the need for ultra violet light, without compromising the results of electrophoresis procedures.

Erlab’s new CaptairBio PCR workstation has been designed with powerful UV decontamination. This allows laboratories to perform non-pathogenic handlings with a high risk of sample cross contamination.

Those interested in sample preparation have plenty of new products to see. Specac, which provides accessories for sample preparation, ATR accessories and infrared transmission products, is launching the Quest ATR Accessory. RPD Tool is launching SamplePrep - a system to automate chromatographic sample preparation.

Esslab is launching three new products at the show; The Hamilton MicroLab 600 is a complete liquid handling system designed to enhance current methods of sample and standard preparation. ML300 is Esslab’s guided pipetting station that minimizes pipetting errors and ensures consistency across all technicians and sample types. Esslab will also be launching the Hirschmann Rotarus® peristaltic pump series of continuous dispensing pumps.

The new SIMDOS 02 diaphragm dosing pump from KNFLab has especially been designed for very aggressive and corrosive liquids used in the lab.  Taylor Hobson is unveiling its new contract measurement service, training courses and new metrology consultancy service. PuriCore International has a new range of recirculating fume cupboards. The show will mark the UK debut for the Hosokawa Viblette from Hosokawa Micron while Data Scientific is debuting Nucomat's new, safe, reagent acid dispenser. Lab Innovations will also be a UK show first for Endecotts’ D300 Sieve Shaker and ESTS’ new range of Logiclave autoclaves.

On the software front, IDBS is showcasing its E-WorkBook Suite data management platform, demonstrating how it can help cut costs and increase productivity in the lab. Starlims plans to unveil its Version 11 LIMS software for industrial, clinical and research laboratories, featuring easy and reliable mobile applications for use with smart phones and tablet computing devices.

Lab Innovations will be the first UK showing of Carbolite’s new 1200ËC E-Series’ compact tube furnaces. The innovative E-Series is ideally suited to routine laboratory applications and includes 150, 300, 450 and 600 mm length furnaces, each of which can accommodate work tubes with outer diameters up to 60 mm.  Within the Lab Innovations UKAS Pavilion, TMS Europe is launching its latest range of speciality low temperature cabinets (-100°C), ovens, humidity cabinets and environmental chambers, which are available with or without UKAS surveys.

Elpro is using the show for the UK launch of its new Libero C, a complete and cost-efficient cold chain monitoring solution.  Visitors to the Gram BioLine UK stand will be able to see its latest additions to the existing BioLine product portfolio. The BioLine range of refrigeration and freezers offer high performance temperature control. Furthermore, while some brands boast internal ATEX compliance the fact that the BioLine range complies to ATEX externally is unique. This makes the cabinets spark-free and suitable for use in a potentially explosive environment.

For those involved in the food or beverage industry, YSI’s stand will feature its new 2900 Series biochemistry analyser. The 2900 delivers accurate results in 1 minute or less, is modular in design and configurable with up to 3 sensor modules.  While the Techne Prime Thermal Cycler, from Bibby Scientific is used for testing for animal DNA contamination in food. This will be the first showing for Anton Paar’s new Abbemat 200. This extension to its refractometer range comes ready to use out of the box, with industry standard methods already installed. Typical applications include measurement of flavourings, juices and sugars.  The Abbemat 200 is the first refractometer in its class with integral temperature control.

Air Products will be demonstrating its ultra-high purity gases with BIP® technology cylinders. These come with a patented in-built purifier to ensure that critical impurities such as oxygen, water and hydrocarbons are kept to near negligible levels. Air Products will also show its pharma grade gases.

Europa Bioproducts will be unveiling how, together with its manufacturing partner, it offers dispensing and labelling services for liquid stable substrates, conjugate stabilisers and blocking buffers. FOSS is showing its new acid Hydrolysis system, Hyrotec, while the Energy Efficiency Consultancy is unveiling its Mobile Energy Monitoring Unit. This independent standalone metering monitor & targeting system contains everything required to monitor & record energy use.

Vaccuubrand is bringing along a special ‘cleanroom bus’, this will be the fully kitted out vehicle’s first trip to the UK.
