TandD Corp has announced its new Wireless RTR-601 handheld thermometer and Core Temperature Recorder. The unit is designed to measure the internal temperature of food items and liquids using an insertion probe.

A single press of the REC button allows the user to record not only the temperature, but also the time, date, operator & item ID’s and a pre-programmed measurement judgment.

The RTR-601 has a measurement range of -25°C to +235°C and is suitable for both hot and cold readings. Current readings and Go/NoGo judgment results are displayed on an easy to read, backlit LCD Display.

The RTR-601 incorporates a temperature stabilization algorithm that will not allow recording until the probe tip temperature has reached a final, steady state value, and can store up to 1,800 data readings before downloading to a LAN over a 900MHz wireless link.

The penetration probes are available in two different lengths and can be attached either directly to the unit or to a handle with a 3 foot cord.

The RTR-601 is designed to be seamlessly integrated into a wireless network with TandD’s RTR-500 Series of Wireless Data Loggers, which allows for automated data collection and remote monitoring and management of both warm and cold. These features makes this unit ideal for HACCP-compliance for temperature management related to food safety.
