New 2.00ml storage tube from Micronic.

Micronic has launched a new 2.00ml storage tube that uniquely combines higher sample storage capacity and absolute sample traceability in an industry-standard 96-tube rack format.

For organizations in the life sciences industry, such as biobanks or biotechnology and pharmaceutical research companies - assured high integrity storage and ease of handling of each sample is critical.

Drawing upon over 25 years experience of supplying sample storage and management solutions to life science labs worldwide - the new Micronic 2.00ml storage tube uses a unique 2D code laser encrypted on the tube bottom to enable easy identification and traceable storage of users samples.

The unique 2D code identifies the sample, its coordinates within a storage rack, the particular rack and the location of the rack in users freezer.

Produced in a modern class 7 clean room production facility from ultra-pure polypropylene - Micronic 2.00ml tubes are certified RNase / DNase free and non-toxic making them the ideal secure medium for storage of liquid or solid samples.

As well as having the ideal shape for gripping with a robotic arm - Micronic 2.00ml tubes have been designed to fit in the industry-standard format 96-tube Roborack.

Not only does this enhance productivity because of the ability to load with standard 8- or 12-channel pipettes but it also enables simple integration with automated liquid handling platforms.

Micronic 2.00ml storage tubes come with a choice of push cap or screw cap closures. To ensure high sample integrity - Micronic recommends its novel 'single turn' tube screw cap that stays securely in place even during repeated freeze / thaw cycles.

Dedicated to the design and production of innovative sample storage tubes, accessories and instruments over the last 25 years, Micronic is uniquely able to offer laboratories the expert advice to help them safeguard one of its most valuable assets - its samples.
