Agilent Technologies Introduces Enhanced NMR Data-Acquisition Software, Providing Optimal Speed and Spectral Quality with Minimal Effort

New software provides with a comprehensive, intuitive platform that generates enhanced data with increased speed and efficiency.

Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) has introduced the latest version of its data-acquisition software for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy.  The new software, VnmrJ 4.0, provides users with a comprehensive, intuitive platform that generates enhanced data with increased speed and efficiency.

“We are pleased to introduce the latest advance in NMR data-acquisition software, enabling NMR users of all skill levels to benefit from cutting-edge methods for NMR measurement and analysis,” said Regina Schuck, Ph.D., vice president and general manager of Agilent’s Research Products Division.

VnmrJ 4.0 provides enhanced spectral quality with every measurement, along with all the tools necessary to make magnet, probe and console work together seamlessly to generate optimal results. Key tools and benefits include:

- Adaptive NMR automatically adjusts measurement time so that each experiment captures the information needed, and no measurement takes longer than necessary, in areas like education and drug discovery where time is precious and resources are shared.
- Non-uniform sampling methods generate sharper spectra with shorter measurement time, maximizing productivity for pharmaceutical and industrial chemists.
- BioPack Express provides single-click setup for the most frequently performed biological NMR experiments, making it the ideal environment for research biologists focused on problem solving by NMR.

The CRAFT (Complete Reduction to Amplitude Frequency Table) spectrum-to-spreadsheet solution provides the fastest, most effective method of automatically quantifying all signals in even the most complex spectra. CRAFT analysis can be applied to an entire spectral series with the same effort required for a single spectrum, making it ideal for high-throughput applications such as metabolomics, food science and quality control.

Agilent provides a complete line of NMR solutions for research and industrial applications that can be used to analyze both small- and large-molecule compounds. Agilent’s NMR spectroscopy systems are modular and range in size and capacity according to their intended use.
