Lord Winston to Speak at Lab Innovations 2013

The fertility expert and high profile science spokesman, will be joining Professor Andrea Sella as part of the two day Royal Society of Chemistry conference running during the exhibition.  Lord Winston’s keynote will be a focal point during day two of the show.

In addition to hearing him speak, 10 lucky show visitors will also win the opportunity to put their questions directly to Lord Winston as part of an intimate Q&A roundtable discussion he will host during Lab Innovations.

Robert Winston pioneered new treatments to improve IVF and is currently running a research programme that aims to improve human transplantation. He is a high profile commentator on a wide range of science-related topics, most recently commenting on the merits of not employing graduates with first class degrees. Furthermore, as Chairman of the Lords Select Committee on Science and Technology from 1999-2002, he  initiated enquiries into antibiotic resistance, non-food crops, nuclear waste, science and society, genetic databases, aircraft passenger environment, and science in schools.  A well respected scientist, Lord Winston has been voice of the scientific world and is known for challenging opinions.

In addition to Professor Lord Winston’s keynote and roundtable, Lab Innovations 2013 will feature throughout its two days, a Royal Society of Chemistry Conference, Campden BRI technical workshops, a UKAS Contract Lab Pavilion plus a packed exhibition hall featuring all the latest product and service innovations from over 100 supply companies.

Lab Innovations is the UK’s only event dedicated to laboratory equipment, technology and services.  The show is already supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry, Campden BRI and Gambica and its attendees are lab managers and scientists working within the chemical, life sciences, food & beverage industries plus those in research institutions.
