Autoscribe’s December e-bulletin concentrates on the benefits of being able to configure a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) without the need to write custom code or using a programming script.

With details of forthcoming training courses in the UK and US, there are opportunities for people to use the configuration course as part of the preparation for a LIMS project.

No programming skills are needed for the configuration course, just an understanding of Windows software. In addition, attendees can take along their requirements for the design of one or more sample registration/submission screens and they will be built into the course as an exercise.

Registration to receive regular, monthly issues of Autoscribe’s e-bulletin can be made by clicking through from the Autoscribe home page (www.autoscribeinformatics.com). Also available in the December issue are the opportunities to download two useful documents: ‘Justifying the purchase of a LIMS’ and the ‘How To Buy A LIMS’ guide.
