BioDiscovery, Inc. has announced that it was granted U.S. patent 6,990,221 for quantification of array images on January 24, 2006.
This patent is the company’s seventh in a series of patents covering fundamental image processing and related visualization methods used in performing microarray analysis.
In particular, this newly issued patent covers the fundamental step of quantifying spots in microarray images.
