BIOO Scientific Corp. Receives Two Grants from US Agencies

Company receives NIH grant for improving antibody technology and launches a set of novel products for directed in vivo delivery of SiRNA.

BIOO Scientific Corp. has announced that it was awarded $285,000 from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease to fund research titled "Engineered Polypeptides for Improved Antibody Production". This grant will utilize BIOO’s expertise in antibody and protein manufacturing to produce antibodies that are more specific than traditional antibodies.

The U.S. National Science Foundation research project for $100,000 titled "Improved in Vivo Delivery of SiRNA".

In addition to this, BIOO Scientific has launched a series on new products surrounding the use of siRNA and miRNA in vivo and will be the sponsor of the Feodor Lynen Lecturer, Susan Gottesman from NIH, speaking on Sunday morning, February 3, 2008 at the Miami Winter Symposium.
