Expand Reverse Transcriptase

Product Description
Brief description: Expand Reverse Transcriptase (Expand RT) is a genetically engineered version of the reverse transcriptase from Moloney murine leukemia virus (M-MuLV RT). A point mutation within the sequence that encodes the RNase H activity reduces this activity below detectable levels. Therefore, Expand RT is more likely to transcribe significant amounts of full-length cDNA transcripts and to generate longer transcripts than the native M-MuLV RT.

Source: Moloney murine leukemia virus; genetically modified and expressed in E. coli AP401 (k)

RT-PCR characteristics: The table below shows the characteristics of Expand Reverse Transcriptase that are relevant to RT-PCR; it also compares it to other RT-PCR enzymes provided by Roche Applied Science.
