STEMdiff™ - Products for Differentiating Human Pluripotent Stem Cells

Product Image
Product Description

STEMdiff™ is a line of products from STEMCELL Technologies Inc. specifically optimized for the differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs).

STEMdiff™ APEL™ Medium (Catalog #05210)
STEMdiff™ APEL™ Medium is a defined, serum-free and animal component-free medium
specifically developed to support hPSC differentiation along ectoderm, mesoderm and endoderm lineages. Developed by STEMCELLTechnologies and based on a published formulation (Ng ES et al. Nat Protoc. 3:768-776, 2008).  STEMdiff™ APEL™ Medium is a versatile, growth factor-free, basal medium that is to be supplemented with specific lineage-inducing factors. Although optimized to be used following maintenance in either
mTeSR™1 or TeSR™2 media and using the EB-based AggreWell™ system, this medium
can also be used to differentiate cells in adherent cell-based systems.  (For more information on AggreWell™ for uniformly-sized EB formation, please visit www.stemcell.com/aggrewell)

Advantages
•    Defined
•    Animal component-free
•    Versatile, growth factor-free formulation to allow for differentiation to multiple lineages

STEMdiff™ Neural Induction Medium (Catalog #05831)
STEMdiff™ Neural Induction Medium is a defined, serum-free medium that is part of a complete system for the differentiation of hPSCs to neural progenitor cells in as little as 12 days. This medium rapidly and efficiently forms neural rosette clusters when used in conjunction with AggreWell™ 800 plates, which ensure uniformly-sized neural aggregate formation.

Neural rosette clusters formed using STEMdiff™ Neural Induction Medium can then
be selected and isolated for further experiments using enzyme-free STEMdiff™
Neural Rosette Selection Reagent (Catalog #05832).  Using this novel reagent, neural rosettes virtually “lift off” the plate and do not require any manual isolation. Together this is a complete, convenient and highly efficient system to obtain up to 100% single neural progenitor cells within 12 days.

Advantages
•    Defined
•    Serum-free
•    Rapid and efficient neural induction
                * Neural rosettes within 6 days
                * Single cell NPC populations within 12 days

STEMdiff™ Hematopoietic Differentiation Kit (Catalog #05310) – Coming Soon!
STEMdiff™ Hematopoietic Differentiation Kit is optimized for the differentiation of hPSCs to the hematopoietic lineage and will be available soon.

Advantages
•    Optimized for hPSC differentiation to the hematopoietic lineage
•    Easy-to-use 13-day protocol
•    From hPSCs, generates CD34+ and CD34+CD45+ hematopoietic cells and an average of 150 CFCs per 100,000 cells
