Product Description

Ocimum Biosolutions' Biotracker LIMS is a cutting-edge information management system for improving lab performance in integrated life science facilities, which handles multifarious tasks such as inventory management, sample tracking, instrument interfacing, experiment validation and personnel management. Biotracker has been developed by mapping diverse life science processes handled at state-of-the-art genomics and proteomic core labs, biorepositories, DNA/RNA extraction labs, sequencing and genotyping labs, as well as microarray analysis and real-time PCR labs. Biotracker has been developed as a platform and environment independent solution, thus giving Ocimum the capability to integrate their tools with other legacy systems that are in use at an organization. Biotracker includes built-in compliance with regulatory guidelines -- 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, and GxP. It provides audit trail and electronic signatures with multi-level security and privileges for all operations.

Biotracker utilizes BioFrame to meet the needs of life science researchers to address the issue of supporting multi-disciplinary labs, collaboration as well as their data management and analysis needs. BioFrame allows researchers to configure in minutes the pipelines of various genomic workflows, instruments needed to capture raw data, search/analyze software for results, and a collaborative environment to make meaningful discoveries.

Biotracker Lite is designed for Sample Management, Data Management, Inventory Management and Instrument Management to satisfy the needs of small to medium laboratories. Biotracker Lite enables users to manage samples and their associated data as well as track amounts, concentrations, availability, storage conditions and location of samples, reagents, enzymes, precursors, chemicals, labware, etc. in an organization. Additionally, Biotracker Lite provides an easy to use facility for managing laboratory instruments including their validation and maintenance records.
