Exemplar LIMS

Product Description

Sapio Sciences developed Exemplar LIMS for the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Modern labs are workflow processing centers. From sample receiving and storage to sample pre-processing and experiments\tests through results evaluation, the lab fulfills these critical processes daily. Exemplar LIMS enables users to quickly implement workflows that mirror these processes in the LIMS in less time, at lower cost and in a more user friendly interface than traditional solutions.

Configuration infers a process that is non-programmatic while customization implies some level of computer expertise in programming or database administration. Sapio built Exemplar LIMS from the ground up to be a highliy configurable LIMS, enabling LIMS projects to be done at much lower cost and in much shorter timeframes than traditional projects. Exemplar LIMS' comprehensive toolset enables a non-technical LIMS administrator to make the necessary changes to adapt the LIMS to their needs, and when those needs change, that same toolset enables rapid adjustment of the LIMS to the new requirements. All with no programming or need for consulting or IT assistance.

Exemplar LIMS is helping to redefine the LIMS market. Initially this involved the addition of an adaptable ELN to the traditional sample management capabilities of Exemplar. Sapio then recognized the need for researchers and labs to manage the diverse and voluminous assay data such as PCR data, Deep Sequencing, Immunohistochemistry, etc., and has built one of the most diverse set of data loaders in the industry in combination with the required scalability and performance this type of data management application demands.

Sapio has also recognized the need for researchers to mine (i.e. - query) Study\Sample\Assay data easily and with no need for knowledge of the data structure, so Sapio has introducedone of the most powerful and intuitive data mining tools available. Lastly, researchers need to analyze the data in diverse ways. So Sapio developed a broad set of analytical tools such as Exemplar Informatics, Exemplar Analytics for GWAS and is also providing direct integration with popular tools such as the R project. Thus, Exemplar LIMS provides a single product solution for streamlining the discovery pipeline.

Managing samples and sample processing workflows is important, but this is only the first step towards connecting diverse sets of data to clinically relevant discoveries. Exemplar LIMS has incorporated an extremely powerful set of tools for loading and managing voluminous and diverse assay data into a single repository to support the analysis and discovery of important biomarkers. Exemplar LIMS not only is a repository for all sample and assay data, it is a true discovery platform. Exemplar includes powerful data mining utilities to enable researchers with little or no training to mine clinical study, sample and assay data without needing to understand the underlying data architecture. The query results can then be input to various analytic processes, including Exemplar Informatics and external tools such as the R Project package, all without leaving the LIMS environment.
