The EpiSonic™ Multi-Functional Bioprocessor 1100 system, an upgrade from the previous EpiSonic™ 1000 model, is a high-throughput capable sonication instrument of the latest generation for use in a wide range of biological applications, in particular for DNA and chromatin shearing. This completely digital instrument allows for simultaneous processing of 96 samples or more and can be easily integrated into existing lab workflows.

Features

The EpiSonic™ 1100 is a highly advanced ultrasonic instrument that incorporates Digitally Adaptive Sonocavitation™ (DAS) technology for efficiently processing biological samples with the following key features:

•    Touch Screen Control - Simple, modern operation with intuitive menu navigation
•    High Degree of Precision - Adjust amplitude levels 1% at a time, between 1% and 100%
•    Programmable Memory - Store successful protocols for future use
•    Isothermal Environment - Included cooling system automatically recirculates chilled water to maintain sample integrity and prevent thermal degradation
•    True High Throughput - Simultaneously process from 1 to 96 or more samples with standard 0.2ml PCR single tubes or 96-well PCR plates
•    Shallow Waterbath - Less liquid medium allows for faster and highly focused sonication on samples
•    Closed Vessel Processing - Non-contact sonication in sealed tubes or wells prevents contamination and sample loss
•    Scalability - Simple, removable, and interchangable vessel rack allows for expansion to different vessel sizes
•    Fast Processing - Shear 96 DNA samples to 100-500 bp (average 300 bp) fragments in just 10-20 minutes
•    Real-Time Energy Monitoring - Live screen output of amplitude, wattage, and joule readings
•    Real-Time Temperature Monitoring - Live screen output of temperature in sample reservoir (temperature probe required)
•    Improved Bio-Safety - No aerosol formation and little foaming; no tedious manipulation of probes
•    Workflow Integration - Streamlines into high-throughput or multi-sample chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) and massively parallel sequencing workflows
•    Automatic Overload Prevention - Detects faults and shuts down to prevent damage to circuits
•    No Moving Parts - Eliminates any possibility of mechanical failure or breakdown
