The MAX-HM high mass range quadrupole mass spectrometers are a family of instruments with extended mass range options. They are configured with a range of specific combinations of triple filter quadrupole rod sizes (9.5mm and 19mm) and RF operating frequencies (440kHz to 1.2MHz) to achieve maximum mass capability whilst still maintaining excellent transmission characteristics. Delivered as compact, fully UHV compatible bolt-on instruments, they can be configured with a comprehensive range of application specific configurations for atomic and molecular physics and chemistry experiments including;
Low cost analysis of bio-molecules (peptides and proteins)
Clusters of molecules for deposition onto surfaces
Plasma polymerisation studies

For combined applications also requiring very high resolution over reduced mass range, the RF power supply can be simply swapped with a second, different frequency version without any further modification.
