The Infinite M1000 PRO is Tecan’s premium multimode microplate reader, offering outstanding flexibility and performance for demanding applications in drug discovery, assay development and life sciences research.

As druggable targets become ever more advanced, researchers need high performance, modular readers such as Tecan’s Infinite M1000 PRO which can adapt to changing project objectives and assay requirements. The advanced features of the Infinite M1000 PRO make it an instrument of choice for assay development and a diverse array of high performance applications. Its premium Quad4 Monochromators™ technology ensures complete freedom of wavelength selection without the need for absorbance or fluorescence filters, providing maximum versatility and sensitivity for defining, fine-tuning and validating a wide range of assays and reagents. In addition, the Infinite M1000 PRO’s modular architecture is ideally suited to researchers in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, as well as service providers, allowing the instrument to be configured to individual budgetary and application demands.

The Infinite M1000 PRO has the capability to perform absorbance, fluorescence intensity and luminescence wavelength scans, making the instrument perfectly suited to method development for a variety of applications including biomolecular screening, enzymatic, G protein-coupled receptor, molecular interaction and cell-based assays, DNA/RNA quantification, TRF and TR­FRET (HTRF®, LanthaScreen®) and AlphaScreen® and AlphaLISA® technology. Fluorescence intensity (FI) top and fluorescence polarization modes benefit from automated z-focus adjustment, making it easy to optimize instrument set-up for varying assay parameters – such as low sample volumes or different well formats – significantly improving the quality of measurements. All common SLAS-standard microplates, from 6- to 1,536-well plates, are supported, plus Tecan’s unique, patented NanoQuant Plate™ for low volume measurements in absorbance and fluorescence modes.

During cell-based assays, maintaining cells in suspension can be problematic. The Infinite M1000 PRO helps to overcome this issue by using double orbital shaking, which also increases efficiency of mixing for reagents and biomolecules compared to linear or orbital shaking. The Optimal Read function is a further benefit for cell biology applications, performing multiple measurements on spatially separated spots arrayed across each well area to enhance assay performance and reliability in 12- to 96-well plate formats.

For walkaway processing, Tecan’s CNS app enables customers to remotely monitor their Infinite M1000 PRO through any networked computer or mobile device using Magellan™ software (v7.2). In combination with the Infinite’s integrated Stacker module, this offers remote batch processing for up to 50 individual microplates, providing a convenient status update at the touch of a button for complete peace of mind.
