Product Description
Maximize reproducibility of your biological sample prep with PIPETMAX®

Routine pipetting tasks across a large number of samples can often be inefficient, complex, time consuming and expensive. These hurdles can lead to increased training requirements, preparation time, procedural errors and ultimately hold back the pace of your experiments. When preparing biological samples, you need an assistant you can trust and PIPETMAX is the ultimate lab assistant – focused on consistency. Since you won’t be tied down by routine pipetting tasks, you will be able to focus on what is really important to your research – scientific analysis and publications.

Simple kits allow one PIPETMAX to run a multitude of different applications including:

  • qPCR
  • PCR
  • Kinase assays
  • Cell based assays
  • NGS library prep
  • Protein assays
  • Custom LH
  • Enzymatic reactions

Is pipetting technique getting in the way of your reproducible results?
Numerous technical replicates are often included in experimental design in order to compensate for user inconsistencies; however, that wastes samples, time and reagents. PIPETMAX prepares every assay with proven consistency, delivering high precision and accuracy in routine pipetting tasks.

PIPETMAX out-matches the consistency of even experiences pipetters. Just imagine what this improved precision throughout an entire experiment would mean for your next publication.

Versatility in your lab with PIPETMAX:

  • Standard kit methods from any manufacturer, MagBead methods, custom methods
  • Multitude of different applications: qPCR, NGS library prep cell assays and other liquid handling tasks of your choice
  • Various samples: tissue culture, microorganisms, body fluids, tissues
  • Small reaction volumes
  • Many types of labware and devices: 96, 384-well microtiter, strip plate, cell culture formats – no special requirements or trays
  • PIPETMAN Standards in reproducibility, precision and accuracy
  • Easy configuration and run with a simple, touchscreen interface

Example Application: PIPETMAX profiling mechanisms of toxicity
Accuracy and reproducibility are key to verifiable science. Automating the steps of the mechanistic toxicity workflow including cell plating, compound titration and detection reagent addition to 384-well microplates is done with PIPETMAX. Multiple assay plates can be assembled, allowing for the assessment of both time and dose-dependent effects. The detection reagents consist of four assays added simultaneously to the assay plate, each measuring various biomarkers associated with cell viability or toxicity.

Dead cell protease, caspase-3/7 and DNA staining are biomarkers associated with cytotoxicity and show an increase in signal over time. Dead cell protease and DNA staining correlate with changes in membrane integrity, while caspase-3/7 correlates with cells undergoing apoptosis.

Apoptotic profile (K562 cell line, a model for CML), plotted as fold change in biomarker signal over untreated vehicle control. The tyrosine kinase inhibitor Imatinib, brand name Gleevec (Novartis), targets the mutant bcr-abl kinase found in leukocytes of patients with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML).

Now available: qPCR Assistant software for simplified qPCR method setup
PIPETMAX qPCR Assistant specifically addresses your qPCR workflow and brings the precision and reproducibility of PIPETMAX pipetting without the need for any automation expertise. Unlike other liquid handling software packages, qPCR Assistant allows you to create sophisticated qPCR protocols by answering simple questions about your qPCR experiment. And qPCR assistant has a unique system for managing sample information before and after the run. You can import sample information when creating new qPCR protocols and export the final sample and control locations for your favorite thermocyclers afterwards. This saves you from the extra time needed for manual entry and prevents errors when entering sample information.
