qPCR Assay Trends 2013

HTStec's qPCR Assay Trends 2013 report was published on 15 April 2013. This 63 page market report summarizes the results of HTStec's 3rd industry-wide global web-based benchmarking survey on real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR) assays and instruments carried out in March 2013. The study was initiated by HTStec as part of its ongoing tracking of emerging life science technologies and marketplaces. The main objectives were to comprehensively document current practices, preferences and metrics of qPCR assays, reagents and thermal cycling instruments. The survey also examined possible interest in a new chip-based qPCR platform enabling faster lower volume qPCR assays. Survey respondents met the following criteria: 1) were currently undertaking qPCR assays; and 2) make or influence purchasing decisions for qPCR reagents, kits or consumables. The report is based on 205 responses from a wide range of laboratory settings, mainly in Europe and North America.
