CIB promotes scientific communication between academics and companies with interests in biotechnologies and instrumentations.

CIB Objectives

Create a platform and an opportunity for scientists, clinicians and researchers to communicate about topics in advanced biotechnologies and instrumentations for application to clinical research.
Act as a bridge between academics and companies to understand the development of advanced biotechnologies instrumentations, and their potential for commercialization and clinical application.
Strengthen and enhance academic dialogue and information exchange between biotechnology companies, industries and manufacturers, thereby facilitating the development of collaborative projects or partnerships.

Discuss the use of new instrumentations and devices in clinical practice and feed back experience of the instrumentations and devices to the manufacturers


1.    Cyto-pharmacology, metabolism, efficacy and survival
2.    The use of clinical proteomic technologies, tissue imaging proteomics, antibody microarray and biomarkers for diagnosis, therapy and prognosis of disease
3.    Clinical gene microarray technologies in diagnosis of disease
4.    Cellular mathematics, biophysics, bioinformatics and computational biology
5.    Functional and molecular imaging, cellular imaging, tissue imaging and in vivo imaging
6.    Flow cytometry, cellomics, metabomics, and stem cell biology
7.    Organ functional measurements
8.    Laser capture microdissection, molecular pathologies, tissue microarray, digital imaging analysis and morphometric systems
9.    Experimental magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET), single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), thermography, and ultrasound imaging technologies
10.   Tissue bioengineering technologies
