The new Copas Plus for high-throughput analysis and sorting of human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPS) clusters using large particle flow cytometry.

The reprogramming of somatic cells into hiPS cells has created opportunities for producing disease and patient specific human cell products.

Therefore there is a need to produce a high number of hiPS cell lines to standardize protocols and to deliver fully characterized cells.

Union Biometrica’s large particle flow cytometers allow the analysis and sorting of intact hiPS cell clusters from a complex mixture of varying sizes based on size, optical density and fluorescent parameters.

This process is gentle and does not influence the morphology or viability compared to manually sorted cell clusters.
