Immunomodulatory Properties of Adipose-Derived Stem Cells Cultured in Autologous Serum

Immunomodulatory Properties of Adipose-Derived Stem Cells Cultured in Autologous Serum content piece image
This study investigated whether adipose-derived stem cells (ADSC), cultivated in the medium containing autologous serum, maintain immunomodulatory properties of MSC. Obtained cells were CD73, CD90 and CD105 positive but CD34 and CD45 negative. ADSC underwent in vitro differentiation into adipocytes, osteoblasts and chondroblasts. Immunomodulatory properties of ADSC were investigated by blast transformation reaction and significant suppression of T lymphocyte proliferation was induced in a dose dependent manner.
